The Light Heart Lash Lift Kit: What's In It and Why It's Different
Share
Even experienced lash artists struggle with lash lifts. There is so much nuance that goes into creating a lift that really wows you and your client. The smallest details make the biggest difference.
That's exactly why we built the Light Heart Lash Lift Kit the way we did. We wanted to improve upon what already existed before bringing anything out to you. We want you to get the most out of this system and your clients to get the best results possible. So let us walk you through what's in it and why each piece of it matters.
A Cysteamine-Based Formula, and Why That Matters
Most lash lift systems on the market are TGA-based. TGA (Thioglycolic Acid) is a fast-acting, strong formula. It works, but it requires very precise timing, and when the timing is off, lashes are often left dry and brittle afterward.
The Light Heart Lash Lift Kit uses a cysteamine-based formula. Cysteamine works through the same fundamental process of breaking down the disulfide bonds inside the lash so the hair becomes pliable and can be reshaped into its new lifted position. The difference is that cysteamine does this more gently and with a lower risk of overprocessing. It is more forgiving, more nourishing, and a better choice for fine or fragile lashes.
Our Step 1 Lifting Cream also contains a rich blend of copper peptides (GHK-Cu) and flavonoids. The copper peptides protect the lash and follicle from chemical stress during the lift while conditioning the lash structure over time. Quercetin, a powerful flavonoid in the formula, calms inflammation. Fisetin, another flavonoid, strengthens keratin cell activity and enhances circulation for longer, fuller-appearing lashes. These are not just nice additions. They are what separate a conditioning treatment from a purely mechanical one.
Four Steps, Not Three
Most lash lift and brow lamination systems are three steps. The Light Heart system is four, and that fourth step is our key differentiator.
Step 1 — Lifting Cream: Applied root to tip, Step 1 breaks down the disulfide bonds inside the lash, making the hair pliable and ready to be reshaped. Timing varies based on your client's lash type. Finer lashes need less time. Thicker or more resistant lashes need more. Because our formula is cysteamine-based, you have a more forgiving processing window than with TGA, but timing still matters. Pay attention to your client's lash density and texture and adjust accordingly.
Step 1.5 — Booster Conditioner: This is the most magical potion in the whole system. Step 1.5 is a nourishing protein and keratin-building treatment applied immediately after Step 1 is fully removed, right when the hair follicle is most open. This is the moment the lash is most receptive to what you put on it, and most systems skip it entirely.
There is no waiting time. You apply Step 1.5 and move straight into Step 2. It is a seamless addition to your workflow that makes a real difference to the condition and finish of the lash. Your clients are going to notice how soft and flexible their lashes feel. It even smells like a luxurious hair mask. This is the talking point to use when marketing your services: you are not just lifting, you are conditioning during the lift.
Step 2 — Neutralizing Lotion: Step 2 reforms the disulfide bonds in their new lifted position, locking the shape in place. Too little time and the lift drops early. Too much time and lashes become brittle. Nail the timing here and your results hold beautifully for six to eight weeks. Once Step 2 is complete and the cuticle seals back down, you get that clean, glossy, long-lasting curl that Korean lash lifts are known for.
Step 3 — Moisturizing Serum After removing Step 2, coat the lashes root to tip with Step 3. It is infused with Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, and nourishing botanicals and extracts. Comb the lashes into their final shape. This is also the stage where you can add a lash tint if the service calls for it.
The Light Heart system is unique because we moisturize the lash at multiple points throughout the service — with the Booster Conditioner after Step 1 and with the Moisturizing Serum after Step 2. We believe in excellent results without compromising the integrity and health of the natural lash.
Airless Bottles, Because the Packaging Is Part of the Formula
Cysteamine and copper peptides are both highly susceptible to oxidation. Every time a standard pump bottle, sachet, or tube is opened, air enters and begins degrading those active ingredients. The reducing agents in the formula lose potency, which shows up as inconsistent lifts and weaker performance over time.
The Light Heart Lash Lift Kit is packaged in airless bottles. The vacuum mechanism means air never re-enters the chamber after each press, so the chemistry stays intact from the first use to the last. You also get a precise, consistent dose with every press, which reduces waste and helps you get every last drop out of your product. Contamination control is important too. The periorbital area is sensitive, and unlike open-pump or dip-style packaging, airless bottles prevent backflow of air and environmental contaminants into the formula.
An airless system keeps the product performing the same on day one as it does on day ninety.
One Kit for Korean Lash Lifts and Hybrid Lash Lifts
At Light Heart, our core philosophy is do more with less. This system works for both Korean lash lifts using a flat shield and hybrid lash lifts using a single curling rod. You do not need separate systems for each technique. One kit, one formula, full flexibility in how you offer these services to your clients.
Results last six to eight weeks, aligning with the natural lash growth cycle. The system is vegan and cruelty-free, like all Light Heart products, and is compatible with lash tinting.
If you are building out your lash lift menu for the first time or looking to upgrade to a system that was designed with real intention, we hope this gives you a clear picture of what the Light Heart Lash Lift Kit is and why it exists the way it does.
